HOW TO CHOOSE
PRECIOUS METALS
Every investor is in search of an investment strategy that protects his or her financial future and progressively grows over time. Since the financial collapse in 2008, precious metals have been a sought after investment asset that can create diversification in an investment portfolio, offering stability from economic and stock market turmoil. The world`s top investors and advisers all agree the shift to physical precious metals is the strongest investment decision you can make. According to the latest report from the World Gold Council private investors are not the only ones moving towards gold. For the first time in over 20 years, Central Banks are net buyers of gold, buying gold at a record pace for their reserves. Central Banks dictate the financial landscape for the future!
GRADED COINS
Graded-Certified Coins are full Numismatics and can carry high premiums above the corresponding spot price. These Coins are graded by independent agencies. The most respected grading companies are Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) and Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). Certified-Graded Coins are graded as Mint State (MS) 60 to 70. The higher the number, the higher the price of the coin. Certified & Graded Coins are bought by collectors, not investors who are typically trying to capitalize from the Bullion spot market. All Numismatic Coins carry higher premiums over the corresponding Bullion price. The rarer the Coin, the thinner graded it is. Liquidating/cashing out of all collectible coins, may be difficult and may only be liquidated for the metal content. It is Prosperity Gold Group`s general consensus that Certified-Graded Coins are not a good investment, as their pricing depends largely on their Numismatic/Collectible demand. One positive of Certified-Graded Coins is that they have a history of stable pricing during volatile spot market conditions.
SEMI-NUMISMATIC
Semi-Numismatic Coins are part Numismatic and Bullion. Their pricing/premium is set between Bullion Coins that carry the lowest premium and Certified-Graded Coins that carry the highest premium. Their price will vary by the different conditions and lower quality metals are valued at a lower price. Investors looking to capitalize from the Precious Metals Bull Market acquire Semi-Numismatics as their value and is directly affected by the corresponding spot market. Semi-Numismatics have all the confidential benefits of full numismatics without the high Certified/Grade Coin Price! The industry commonly refers to Semi-Numismatic as: "The confidential Metal, that offers the most metal content, for your paper money". If you`re looking for profit potential, a hedge against inflation or wealth preservation, tangible Precious Metals are the asset of choice!
BULLION
Bullion consists of bars, privately minted rounds, and modern government minted coins such as: U.S. Gold Buffalos, American Eagles, Austrian Philharmonic, Canadian Maple Leaf, and South African Kruggerrands. Bullion as a category, is bought and cashed out closer to the corresponding spot market. It is bought and sold for slightly above the spot market and/or below the spot market. Their price is set by, but not limited to the following factors: the different conditions, mints, rarity, and over all open market demand. Certain Bullion products are legal tender and some are non-legal tender. The above spot market premium can vary, depending on type of product and the overall supply and demand of the product.
Bullion: Under past and current law, these Coins and Bars require dealer reporting of IRS form 1099. Your personal information: name, address, Social Security Number, etc., is asked when you cash out, regardless of the dollar amount (over $600). This Non-Confidential transaction is reported to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for their internal use and tracking.
PROOFS
Proofs are full Numismatic Coins. These Coins are uncirculated and sealed in a protective casing. The most recognized examples are: American Eagles, Canadian Maple Leaf's, American Gold Buffalos, etc,. Proofs have a higher premium above the corresponding spot market. The price/value above the corresponding spot market is due to, but not limited to their limited production, additional minting process, and casings. Example: American Eagle Proofs come in an outer box, hallmarked with the official seal of the United States Government, a matching inner box, a protective clear coin casing and a certificate of authenticity. American Eagle Proofs are specifically minted with consideration of Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA`s) and they are the only non-Bullion Precious Metal asset that the law allows in qualified Individual Retirement Accounts. Their demand for IRA`s and limited supply are key reasons for their added value. Although past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results, Proofs have a proven track record of stable pricing, even increasing in value during falling Precious Metal markets. They are suitable and allowed to be placed in Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs).
